Belated Congratulations to Carolyn
Mar 22 2009, 1:01 PM EDT
Hello Carolyn,By now much of the noise about your discovery has gone away and I'm certain that you are still working with Tim Puckett's data to find another supernova. But I only recently learned about it from the Deer Pond website. I would like to offer my belated congratulations! I know about the incredible excitement of supernova discovery having found my first in 1997 after a hard and long search. Since them I have discovered or co-discovered over 150. But the there is nothing like the first one! I salute you. It is clear that you have the determination to become anything you would like to be in life. It takes dedication and patience to do what you have done. More than being the youngest person to discover a supernova, you are demonstrating all the characteristics of much of what it takes to become a successful human being. Now *that* is something to be celebrated. All the best, Michael (Schwartz) Tenagra Observatories, Ltd. www.tenagraobservatories.com P.S. If you are ever in Arizona you are cordially invited to observe with me on one of the Tenagra telescopes. Do you find this valuable?
